| Dr. Mark Dillof |
Mark Dillof, Ph.D. has long been at the forefront of life coaching, executive coaching, and business counseling, and is a creative innovator in these fields.
Dr. Dillof has an extensive range of business experience, as well as an impressive array of intellectual achievements. He has been a Wall Street broker, a real-estate appraiser, a professional magician, a management consultant, an executive coach, and a seminar presenter to a variety of organizations, from IBM to the American Lung Association. Working at various trades has helped him better understand people and the challenges of the workplace.
He has also found time to teach at five universities — Binghamton University, Broome Community College, Kaplan University, Post University and Granthum College — and to write two books. He has done all this while maintaining a thriving private practice, in life coaching and counseling, for the past twenty-two years. He earned graduate degrees in philosophy and in psychology and an interdisciplinary doctorate in both fields. He is a member of the the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling. (ASERVIC)
Business Coaching Meets Philosophical Counseling
Since 1986, Dr. Dillof has been a pioneer in the burgeoning field of philosophical counseling. In recent years he has sought to address the needs of business leaders and professionals. His life coaching now integrates the practical aspects of business advising with the profundity of philosophical counseling. The result is a new form of life coaching — systemic, holistic, and powerfully effective.
Relationships, Organizational Paranoia, and Comedy
Dr. Dillof’s book Awakening with the Enemy is about the philosophy of male/female relationship conflicts. The book — which has been reviewed in major newspapers — including: The Boston Globe, The Cincinnati Post, The Rocky Mountain News, and The Arizona Republic — has established him as one of the foremost relationship experts. His second book, being considered for publication, is about the emergence of paranoia in organizations. He is at work on his third book, which will be about the deeper meaning of comedy. Relationships? Organizational Paranoia? Comedy? Yes, they’re all linked together! But that’s a story for another time.
